This week we’re talking about whether or not baby mama drama is hurting your relationship. I would like to preface this episode by saying that I actually hate the term “baby mama” because I feel it’s a derogatory term. It a modern term that most people do understand, however, what we we’re really talking about is blended families.
In this episode, I discuss why this is such a painful subject for so many families and how you can step into a split-parent situation with grace; even when the other woman may be spitting venom. I also talk about how to when it’s time to finally walk away from the situation.
In this Real Talk segment, a listener’s partner of one year has an ex who only allows him to see his child on her terms. The listener feels excluded and has been accused by the ex of being the reason for their family not being together despite the fact that the ex was already living with another man when the listener and partner got together. She loves her partner but isn’t sure she can deal with the emotional strain of the situation and would like some advice.
